The Two Fabrics

Today I trundled off to the store to buy some fabrics so that I can get started. To match mum and dad's room, I picked these colours (the bluey one looks more purple in real life- it's just bad light!) and the cream will match the walls. If I don't have enough of these colours to go around and finish the whole quilt, then I can easily substitute more because they have plenty that can blend with them (like a pretty pale blue, for example). Oh and I was lucky! On the bolt of the cream fabric it said it cost $13.95/meter, but it scanned up as $6! So I'm going back tomorrow morning to buy more. =)

I'm off to cut out my first block... I'll post a picture when it's done. =)
